biax glass question

i noticed one side looks like chopped glass and the other is more uniformed, the fibres all go one direction.

is there a top or bottom side when using this glass?

its 12oz, and im putting the panels back on my tray that i cut out to de foam.

Chopped mat on bottom.

I always put the chopped side to the hull, so the woven side is exposed .

Much cleaner end result!

mat has better adhesion properties than cloth so cloth UP!

cool, thanks guys! i only installed the side panel on the gunwale right now. i have it all planed out to tie in the whole tray with 12oz bi, with the least bit of sanding. i figured it would be best to do the tray and then refoam and then do the re-enforcements in the motor compartment. this is my second time working with glass, my first time was my foot holds.
