Cylinders and pistons came from The Crank Shop in Vermont. Bought them unfinished. Erik did the port work, then had to send them out to have the bores done. I bought a brand new Polaris crank off one of the internet places and a used set of 700 cases from here. He did the porting and made the cases fit. Head came from Power Factor, cut to our specs, and they wanted an outrageous price for the cylinder studs (because they're so long, they said they have to custom make them). Erik's guy was able to make them for just a little more than the price of the stainless rod though. We were going to try modifying the cylinders to work with DASA valve housings, but Erik had the CAD for it and was able to adjust it to fit the bolt pattern on these cylinders, so we have custom low profile power valves. Head pipe didn't need any grinding. Though the engine plate needed to be clearanced for the pipe because the cylinders angle the pipe down more than the stock 777 cylinders. The caps for the valves still came from DASA though. The valves I think came with the cylinders. All in all, Erik helped me out a lot and I ended up paying around $4000 and several 12 packs of Sam Adams. That was all parts. The only labor was for his machine shop guy.
The total loss makes a big difference too, even on the stock 777. And I still only run 46mm old Novis. I can't wait to try some 48s...!
