Jr.'s 760 is a good option too, less $$$ than a stroker setup for more displacement unless you go 5mm/bigger.

I'd really like to ride one of these 4mm strokers by Art to compare to my FU760.

There may be one at the fall lanier ride. If not, for sure in the spring!

Yea, I keep contimplating selling my bigbore flattop cyl. and doing a stroker, but I would like to have my motor as reliable as possible, even if it means sacrificing a little HP. I guess I will try the Flattop motor, and maybe be lucky enough to try someones stroker at the Daytona ride and compare. From what I here Flat top bigbores perform quite well. I am sure I will be more then happy over a stock port 701 dual 44 setup.

one thing about a a stroker, if you blow up, you've got to get another crank. With a stock crank, you can normally find one pretty quickly and get back together with a bore.

That is why I went with the big bore.

Northwest Sleeves have a big bore sleeve designed by Tim Judge. It allows you to run Kawi pistons unlike the R & take your money D. Plus the material used by NW is much better than the LA version,

Those pre-ported sleeves will run good... I mill them out in a jig on the bridgeport for my spec's, But not for the novice porter! Lots of porting to match up to a stock 61X cylinder, you'll need 90 degree handsets to match transfers to the sleeves.

Depends on who you buy it from..... I paid around $1100-1200 for my billet 6mm crank from Crankworks new this January. The complete 4mm stroker kit Art builds is about $2000 give or take. You supply the cylinder and cases. This includes an ADA head and domes cut to match. Amazing power on a budget! Much stronger than the average big bore. Leaves you plenty of cash for things like a mag pump, carbs, reeds, TL, etc...

I have used those sleeves before and yes it does require extensive porting and a steady hand. Personally, I would reccommed a NP lamey cylinder with 85mm flats and standard stroke. I just put that in my practice boat and I am very pleased with the power. It's like a big bore on steroids!:woot:

just another option !!
