billabong xxl awards ride of the year nominees..

makes what we do on jetskis seem pretty silly in comparison...the second wave gets my vote..paddling into a 60ft wave in 30knt winds with two foot chop coming up the face is pretty incredible...

My god that's heavy surf , that Shipsterns slab is so sick ,it looks like the wave you guy have offshore.

hey tem scope this...this was my buddies first and last wave out there...went over the falls and hit the rock on his back...if u go back to the tumbnails u can see the whole sequence you can see his board in the lip and hes right behind it haha..there are some pretty cool shots of some other guys that were out there that day that were just charging..

i went on a few after that but stayed as far as i could away from the pit after watching him go down..pretty scary to watch

Yea the rock can stick out especially when it's smaller. If u look through the rest of the shots from the session where my buddy hit the rock there is one with this guy air dropping inside this massive cavern and right under him u can see the rock. It was so crazy to watch in person

yea i do everything goofy but ride skis regular...the only other thing i do left foot forward is slalom waterski..i think when i first started riding i thought of it more as standing like a waterski stance...also before i ran footstraps i used to switch my stance racer style...i just became more comfortable regular...its pretty weird...you dont know how badly i wish i was regular surfing and kitesurfing around here because every wave is a right for the most part...especially kiting...it is very difficult to kitesurf backside...every once in awhile before a storm we get south wind which lets me kite frontside and it 100times easier...when u are backside u can only fly your kite with one hand..
