bilge pump insta

Hey guy i cant seem to find a thread on how to wire a bilge properly can some one give me a diagram thanks. I have a 1996 SJ what size fuse should i get also what type of fuse thanks guys.

I just run both of my wires right to the battery with a switch on the positive side. You can run the black wire to any metal part of the motor for a ground if you wanted to. Not sure about what fuse. I didnt put a fuse in mine and I didnt have it blow up yet.

2.5 amp fuse. i run dual bilge so i use a 5 amp fuse. run a hot lead to the battery and put a switch inline. i ground off the starter w/ the battery - wire

i have a few questions about this same job as well. what is the best placement of the pumps i was thinking of one by the PTO shaft and one in front of the engine. or is it better to put them both next to the PTO shaft? what is the preferred epoxy to secure the pump to the hull?

i plan to use 3M 5200 to attach a Rule500 pump (with the holder) to the bottom of the SJ hull.

i use that aquamend from home depot. cut a piece off, mix it. scuff up both surfaces and press it down. stuff works great. used it in 3 skis now with no problems
