More info about this warranty, how to get replacement, etc.?

I don't know but it says 3 year warranty right on the package.

I buy the $4 insurance from west marine. The guy there told me they are just using the normal rule warranty, but the supplemental insurance lets me exchange it in the store instead of dealing with rule. I run at least 3 pumps at a time so I frequently replace them. The one from the pic is brand new. West marine just have it to me a few months ago.

Interesting! I hate when pumps give out. That's why I want duals, and I don't like scuppers. It's not fun riding when your pump goes out and all you've got is the stocker..
The attwood 1200s are cheaper than the rule 1100s,and almost the same size too, and I hear anything over 500 airlocks anyways. Not really a big deal since you can just flip the switch on and off and you're good. But I'm tempted to constantly have a 360 running and then a strong pump when I need it.

I had one short out and melt last season. Only way I knew was there was a tiny wisp of smoke in the garage. I grabbed it to pull it out with gloves on and it pulled in half. Luckily I caught it before it did any damage or burned my house down.
Edit: I have since added fuses to all my bilges.

A few things I have learned. Some the hard way.

Aluminum window screen material is your friend.

Use it to pre filter your pump/s and they won't bake due to ingesting a busted zip tie.

When running scuppers, install screen over the scupper tube in the engine compartment. This will keep your scupper free of all debris. If you have a quality scupper, you will be fine. If you go in surf, secure your scupper closed if you feel you need to (I do). I have sat on my ski in the lake bs'ing and swimming around a buddies boat for 30 min with xmetal scuppers and never had a problem taking on water, with this setup.

Only run your pump/s when they are needed. NOT all the time as you WILL burn out your lighting (charge) coil on your stator. Running a fatty flywheel TL system is kind of a bummer. Myself and many others have learned that the hard way.

Brilliant idea! I endup with blown fuses due to stupid stuff getting into my pump. I'll definitely consider that..

Rule pumps r poop. They dont self prime so you cant leave them on. I filled my entire hull up with the hose while they were on and they never start pumping!

I switched to seasense 800gph and will never look back. Winning.

The front groove that your hood sits in starts to drupe down and doesn't seal well.

This is my main water intrusion issue... How exactly would you go about fixing something like this? It's not like its cracked, its just sagging.. I'm thinking about just getting a thicker hood seal so that it seals up completely, but how long until it sags even more? Hopefully long enough that I won't have a squarenose hull anymore, I suppose.

I'd like to see what you guys are talking about

Go look at the front of your engine compartment and lay something flat across that front grove. You will most likely see a gap.

Alright.. Well the Watcon seal should help with that too, since it doesn't have a Ridge for your hood to sit in, rather it forms around the gap.
Well I have to work on my hood too! The front of mine, underneath the front holes, is warped to the point that one side cracked off a nice piece from the sealing area up. Any of you guys had that happen?
