So, with my younger brother's recent passing, and my own continuing fun with cancer. I've decided life is too f'ing short to go without stuff you've always wanted. Last week I bought a bass boat , the exact model which I've wanted since I was 17 years old. For reference, I'll be 60 this May... Next month I'm closing on a piece of land that abuts my property and I'll be building the garage and workshop I've wanted/needed for 3 decades.

I've always wanted a Flatwater BF ski. So here's the facts, so bag on me if you want but I'm being totally honest. I'm barely an average rider. I'm not interested in learning technique and form in order to pull off a backflip in my advanced age. I want to squeeze the trigger and flip. Period. I want to impress my grand kids. I want to show off in the 'deep spot' where everyone hangs out on my lake on hot days. Again, I'm being 100% honest. I will keep my 2004 fully modded SJ forever. If it were legal, I'd have it cremated with me. I love that freakin' ski. Best recreational ski ever made. WAY better than the 2008+ models and way better than any Kawi. WAY BETTER.

So, what package should I look at? I don't want something that's hull is 36" long with a 9" long handle pole. I'm old. I rode one of those skis once and it was BRUTAL on my lower back, and NO fun to ride AT ALL. Obviously if it is also capable of doing a bit of cruising, that's a major bonus, otherwise when I'm done being a BFing biotch, I'll tuck it in and jump on the SJ.

What would you recommend, and who has something for sale that meets my needs?

2 ways to look at this. For turn key no messing around an xfs carbon core or comp with a dasa 1200 charging system would be the quickest route to success, plus the re sale on those skis are better then anything out there. The other good option would be that t1 for sale with a 898 for 16k. It would be a harder to flat water flip but you mentioned chasing boats so that could be a reasonable ready to go option.

I agree with this. If money isn't a main concern, get a comp XFS with a DASA 1200, RRP pipe and a decent trim. Will be one of the easiest setups to flip on and still be able to cruise.

I can't find any pricing on the Rickter site and their email address isn't there either. Can someone provide me both of these things pretty please?

You're going to have to buy through someone. I would recommend freestyle connection. He can sell you just a hull or a complete build. He built mine and it has been absolutely flawless.

I would second freestyle connection / anizeski. If buying new from him it would have to be a rise( similar to rickter) or a revolver. They make a l and xl series. Good chance he would know of a used unit for sale too. He would also be a great person to get a lesson from. Give him a call or shoot him an email. What you are after is kind of his specialty.

Not sure if you are in the west or east coast but high speed industries also builds some nice skis and they are out of lake havasu. They currently have a revolver L with a 1200 pump gas charging set up as a demo ski for people to try. Another option/ builder worth looking into @ high speed industries
