Thats the way you do it son !
Please refer to post 10 for an example..
By the way I wasn't referring to freestyle or racing or even how to ride. I was referring to the equipment people use..
Ps I never tell regular riders they suck or make fun of how they ride I just hold guys that claim to be professionals accountable for their claims..
Don't make me dig up your list of 3rd person thread titles as of late..
Unfortunately u don't have an audience everytime u ride so as a "professional athlete" your judged by the way you portray yourself which these days is mostly online. Watch your heats from surf slam..I know u will say waves were crap blah blah but then watch Taylor's and see him make the most of it..that's the difference..the fact that u can get 2nd floundering like that goes to show that there in no motivation to do better when mediocrity is rewarded..step up your game and shut me up or don't act like your wave riding is "progressing the sport", take your pick..
Good luck in your freestyle show in brazil..hope they pay good I heard the retirement plan for free riders sucks..maybe Obama will get re elected and he will send u a bailout..
You can either do things the right way or the wrong way..doesn't matter to me
when the majority of people do it wrong nobody knows the difference..and that just brings down the "sport"

What makes you think that your doing it the "right" way? I'm very curious. I have never ridden surf but it seems to me that you are always saying there is only one "right" way to jet ski in the surf. How is doing something different than you bringing down the sport? I call it progression.
I'm a big football fan so I will use it as an example. Back in the early days all teams ran the ball on every play. There was no forward pass. No one even thought about throwing the ball. (This is like the early days of jet skis in the surf. People were only riding waves. No one was flipping or "hucking".) Slowly as time progressed people realized that this forward pass thing could be to their advantage. This gave them a added edge over their opponent if they could pull it off. It made them more diverse. (This is like the first guys that were shredding the waves but also had the nadz to "huck" it off the face of a wave. This gave them a advantage over there fellow riders because they were doing something no one else was.) Now a days in football you cannot rely on only running the ball or throwing the ball. You have to do both in order to have any chance at winning. (Now as in any sport, the goal is to win, correct? In our sport, the goal isn't always to win though, since most of us will never compete. So this "winning" happens when you make yourself a better rider. So to evolve an make yourself better you need to expand your horizons and realize that there is more than one way of riding. To be the best, you must have balance in what you do. (unless your the Saints, then you can pass on every play.)
My whole point in that analogy was to say, Quit acting like you know it all and everyone not doing it your way is wrong. The forward pass didn't kill the game of football. It turned it into the most popular sport in America. If the sport didn't evolve I would be playing fantasy soccer. Not fantasy football. Be happy that guys are trying new things on the water. Its called progression.
I can use another analogy if you'd like.
You mad he is traveling the world, getting to ride different waves everywhere he goes? AND competing for the number one spot in the WORLD..... I would love to be in his shoes.
P.S. I totally understand that you are one of the best wave shredders out there, but open your eyes to 2012.
Dude, get off your high horse. There is no right way or wrong way. There is no rule book on how you ride a effin Jetski. Surf Stance, Both Feet Back in footholds, Goofy Footed............. There is no wrong way. ride on the front of the wave, behind the wave, on top of the wave, under the wave, in no waves (That is called Flat Water)........ You can even put some Orange and Yellow Balls out in the waves (That would be called Surf Racing)....... There is no wrong way............. What ever happened to guys going out and just having fun. One Guy likes riding the waves, another likes to jump the waves (Hands and Feet attached to the ski is optional, or any combo of eather). There is no wrong way (Well, if the area is off limits to jetskiiers) Then that would be the wrong way................ Oh yeah, Riding with no thing on would the "The Wrong Way", unless beach was deserted and you had your Girl with you or guy if your a Queer.................. Boys and Girls please repeat after me...... "There is no wrong way".
If someone asked you how to do a flatwater barrel roll would u tell them stand in the front of the tray, hold the pole over their head and look the opposite way of their rotation? No because its wrong..would u tell them to get a hydro space for freestyle?? Same thing when I say there is a right and wrong way to ride a wave it's a technique..
As far as your football analogy goes did running the ball go out the window when they started passing? The run game didn't suffer at the expense of being able to throw..my whole point is do both well not do one and do as little of the other as possible..just enough to get by..I'm not sure if u are aware of what guys were capable of in the past with Wayyy worse equipment but with exceptional ski handling skills..
i love how you always add

hahahaha! so if you search my name, my vid will come up.... oh my bad.
ok chief. if you can do better, come out and compete. see you in the AM class. dont forget about that 50%
will do! ill send you a postcard. ps, i got my straps in my bag bbbbbrrrrrrooooooooo
I was searching for an appropriate gif for this thread, I believe I have found it.
there might not be a "wrong" way,but there deff is a smarter way..he isnt talking about freestyle,or racing the topic is surf riding. you could sit on your bikes handle bars and ride it backwards down the mountain if you want to,it wouldnt be wrong, but it would be stupid....but not quite as stupid as riding surf standing in the back of the ski the whole time...
lol...we can start worrying about guys standing in the back evolving the sport when they start winning all the comps over the current champions...too funny
What frack are talking about. Nobody is talking about smarter way to ride. My point. Go out and ride whatever way you want and just frickin enjoy yourself. That is what we are suppose to be doing. There is no art of rules. No right way or no wrong way.
What? No rules? BK, are you drunk? What about the bandwagon rule? If the wagon rolls by your house-YOU MUST JUMP ON!!! lol (i.e. frt exhaust, internal fuel fill, straght bars, on and on and on and on). LOL
