What is everyone thoughts on am blaster handle bars? Bought a set of blowsion Kommand bars and was really impressed with the look. Just want some advice on what to buy.

Does this mean you are keeping your blaster? I am going to attempt to do my own seat and buy the 701 steering.
I go back and forth selling it due to people to ride with. pismo 140 miles one way and my spot in ventura is awesome and gets heavy but getting people to take there stuff in the salt like pulling teeth can't ride solo its a 2 mile haul if I break down. I keep thinking of buying a boat for islands.

They are 1 1/8 fat bars. CR High bend
Since i went with the fat bars i also had to use pro taper clamps. The steering is stock, with the protaper clamps you can use the stock steering. It actually worked out really well and i am happy with them.

I run the Mega Fat Bars from 701 Industries and love them. I was running the pro tapers, but these bars bend a little tighter around the steering ultimately giving you more room by the grips.
im running pro taper raptor bend. I love them but I'm also 6'3" so I need the extra height. I'm running the stock steering with pro taper 1 1/8th clamps

This gives you an idea of how tight the Mega Fat Bars from 701 bend around the steering head, and how much more room there is up by the grips. I currently run the Double locking grips from 701, but don't run any handle bar pad.

Draggingto, did you have to cut your bars down? I just got the CRs and they look really wide. Haven't rode with them yet..
Cegpcola: I have a question. I have the 701 QS-S steering with mega bars also and really like them but I don't want to put that much into my second B1. You say you run the pro - tapers before so would you say the height is nearly the same as the QS-S? I'm 6'2" tall so I need a tall set up for standing.

I cut my protapers down to 30inches...stock on the KX high was like 32 and just too wide for me.

Here is a set of bars with a very similar bend to the bars 701 offers. They are less than half the cost too. I just ordered a set.

Just saw this, been a bit busy! The bar height with my pro tapers were the same as the mega fat bars! The difference is where the bends are gives you more room up by the grips!
