Freestyle Blaster Build - Great Lakes Edition

They're great machines, and in high range they really do move pretty quick, but bounce you around quite a bit. I mostly use mine for dirt work. https://steinerturf.com/extreme-gallery/

Sorry to get off topic. I just wanted to add, instead of sanding the old paint off the inside of your hull, do you think some spray on paint stripper would work? I know that stuff makes short work of any paint I have to remove on metal surfaces, but I don't know how it would effect the fiberglass.

I thought about it, but I decided not to. I have a soda blaster I can use. I'm just waiting for some nice weather. I am doing all the flat surfaces with a DA and then I'll do the weird contours with the blaster. I have to end up doing a lot sanding no matter what. And no worries, I'll post some pics of his other stuff when I get a chance. He's got a lot of goodies in his garage.

Excellent, keep us updated! I LOVE build threads. I was just at the local Buffalo Boat show and all these brand new skis (nearly all couches) were an absolute joke compared to anything that members here on this site build. I'll take a 25 year old 'Blaster over any new garbage out there. Sorry to get off topic, I just had to vent. :)

No worries at all.

Anyone who has reinforced the sides of a waveblaster - how high up do you go?

Finishing the transom up first as I think it's the easiest part.

On a side note, does anyone else do any computer science stuff? I'm currently doing research on image translations with deep networks. I got ubuntu and am learning the terminal commands, hence the picture.

I am Shebaghdad. I ride the south side because the floating cop callers (surfers) are always hypersensitive if we get within a mile.

Sheboygan ordinance is no wake a half mile off shore. That is too far out to catch waves, so it's easier if we just go to the south side. They also have a no beach cart ordinance and a no beaching ordinance. We don't have any trouble if we just avoid them. However, the waves aren't as good where we go.

Yeah I've heard that rumor. Funny this is I can't find it on paper. It's not listed anywhere in the City Ordinances. In 2012-13 I was riding North Beach without issue, and talking with the surfers. Must be something new? How much is the ticket?...
