IMO needs a little bit of engine to process that impeller well. Do you have any mods? A pipe and compression with a timing advance an you will like that pitch.
bore the nozzle to the max and stubby pump cone. the stock blaster prop is actually a very good prop. most of the old race boats that have been thru here, used the I prop. the J was a bit too big
My engine is a 62t case 61x Cyl ported and bored to 84mm. FBP Mod chamber, bored 38 carbs MSD enhancer, billet head running 180 PSI. Thats about it. Do you guys think it will move, or am I better off getting a stock prop?
thats good stuff. if you check the RPMs with a tiny tach, with the current prop, then with J prop. if you lose RPMs with the J , its too big. i've ridden some superjets with the stock blaster prop and they hit hard.
You will like it, I had that same prop with a 61x with timing, compression and a red pipe, did not hit super hard but absolutely screamed up top. This was with stock nozzles and pump cone, a stubby probably would have helped.

Thanks, it helps to know someone with a similar setup ran this. My stocker is trashed, so a free prop is looking good as long as it won't be a problem. The pitch seems very similar to stock which I think is 14-18?
