IMO, the 62t motor is a better motor all the way around. You just have to know how to set it up to put the power to the water. A 760 is a 62t raider motor with an 84mm bore, different stator/flywheel combo and the OEM Yamaha 44mm carbs. Everything else is the same. Take the 760, add the right intake set up (which is expensive), set the pipe up right and most importantly, get the right prop set up and it will have more power than any 61x set up. One of the problems with the stock 760 motor set up is the OEM Yamaha 44mm carbs. There is a ton of power to be had in that motor by ditching those emissions friendly carbs out for a good set of Novis or Full Specs.
There are some on here who will disagree, nothing wrong with that. But all you have to do is ask people who have ridden our 62t spec set ups to know what I am talking about.
Just my opinion.
