(bling warning!) New Mag Pump for my FX-1

I run an X2 stock nozzle and I was wondering if it would be suitable for this setup? I have other nozzles available and plan to talk to Dave @ impros to get his recommendation. I'll post updates.

I think a stock X2 has a 82mm exit nozzle.
What prop pitch were you running? What was your peak rpm?
It will be interesting to see what kind of load the pump puts on a fx1 and how much your rpms drop. Good luck. I'm sure da Mafia got the plans all in place :Banane09:

I paid about $1k for mine shipped with prop, cone, and pitched to my set-up.

You have to supply a good 650 pump core for him to work with.

Well worth 1K when you consider the price of new bearings, new SXR prop (custom pitch work), stuffer, stuffer adapter, cones.

I really think you surf guys will enjoy the hook-up........

I thought my wifes 780 hooked with a freestyle WW cone + polished stock pump until bolted on the mag......... it takes effort to unhook it......
:beerchug:

Note - I heard somewhere the cost of the mag pump went up to $1270 or something like that..... so your price may be higher than 1K :)

Doh! This is perfect! I just installed my 9/17 hooker in my 650 pump, but it still cavitates. I was thinking of just doing a TBM/R&D cone, but damn... this may be the ticket....

I wonder how much he charges for just the core and machine work since I already have the impeller....

A mag pump in a 550 would be KICKASS.

I thought so... but maybe now with the old schools becoming cool again, maybe somebody could develop something that could fit in the 550 hull, and handle more power? Or is that too much money? And if so, what is too much?
