Schools been out for 3 days, but by some stroke of a miracle power came back on about a half hour ago. Dont know why either, but they still cancelled school for tomorrow. Usually we are the last to get power on since we're off the beaten path. Yea, the ice sucks. We moved all our cars into the street because our trees kept on assaulting them with gigantic ass branches and softball sized pieces of ice. It wouldnt be the first time a log fell through one of the windshields... Cool for me though, now the power tools work again  may still be too cold to work on the ski though

Man If I could move down south I would. I would trade winter for a bunch of hillbilly hick "south'ners" with two teeth's any day of the week.

spent 8 hours in the plow truck today 7 inches today total for year 8.5"

I look at it this way. Have to put the plow on my truck and make money 10 times a year.

I don't have to worry about my house blowing away do to a hurricane or tornado. I don't have to worry about an earthquake. I just have to wonder how many days my house stays white instead of green.

:so what did everyone end up with?? i got 18 inches in my front yard, no school for two days:biggthumpup: . i had to get to my girlfriends house on valentines day and my car didnt even think about moving, so i hopped on the 250f with studded tires and rode the 11 miles in 13 degree weather to her house, the guys i passed on snowmobiles loved it....they couldnt believe a bike went that good in the snow.

I dont have any snow, just 2 inches of ice on top of everything. Electricity is out everywhere due to trees falling from the weight, so Im out of schoo for 2 full days and one 3-hour early relese so far, and the way things are looking (school is still out of power) I wont be having school tomorrow either. I LOVE how unprepared our state is for a little snow and ice! The best thing about it, is since I'm a senior, we DONT have to make up the snow days! :woot:

Our creek is frozen so solid, I've been considering using it as a runway for R/C planes. The ice shifted around all the 6 knot markers as well, so now I can feign stupid and tell all the sailboaters that it isnt 6 knots here! They get really pissed off about it, and even went so far as to spraypaint over the SAT SUN HOL marking so that they can claim its enforced during the week as well...
