Blocking off the front 3 vents in a stock SJ hood

nope, just open up the rear holes a bit with a dremel to make up for the airflow you blocked off.


some guys have run it without widening the rear holes but my opinion is better safe then sorry...
 
Removing or closing top air vents but leaving front holes open will work if additional holes in back are created. Leaning on slutty hood mood with couple of changes to accomadate OEM Tool Box attached to hood ( with fire ex Inside )

so it is possible to just glass over all the front holes in my rn hood, im assuming it lets less water in on subs? how big would u recomend making the 2 back holes? i would think the motor needs those wholes in the front foextra air

my previous ski I had them closed and used to do WOT runs (long ones) without choking the engine, it was never an issue. it was a 701 limited (dry pipe, stock dual 38s and all boltons).
