saw them on a blowsion ski in daytona last year... they look like a great product if taking them on and off is what you are after.

They do look nice, saw them in september but if your doing glasswork anyway go with the original ones, they lowered the price.

I bought them and installed them a couple weeks before I headed out to pismo.
If your tank and chamber are removed you can install them in about 20 minutes time! I had ridden other boats with tubbies and wasn't sure I wanted them for flat water so this gave me the option to remove them if I didn't like them on flat water. I also liked that they didn't have any foam to get water logged. They are really solid and I am very happy I went that direction.

On flat water they do list slightly side to side but I wouldn't say they really chine walk like other tubbie boats I have ridden. In the surf they are great with absolutely no negatives I can see.

Probably true. I don't love them for flat water, but I think I will get used to them and won't bother pulling them off.
Hey I am planning on buying tubbies for my '99 SJ. I'm torn between destroyers or tubbie 2's. I do mostly lake riding/bouys. Being that you've ridden both, can you push me in a direction you think I should go?! I like the easy setup of the destroyers but I don't know many who have ridden them so I'm unsire about chine walking, plus the extra money... but the 2's are permanent and I'm unsure if they will make as big of a difference with handling. Any input would help he out a ton. Thanks

I think they are the ones we have on her SXR
amazing effect it has, especially when you get into some ruff/choppy stuff
and wow, does it add cornering

the one down fall, but we've done things to correct it is, on smooth glassy water, we had some serious shaking/chiming
lighter hood, shorter ride plate, and longer handlepole to get her further back in the ride tray (she is very short) made a nice improvement, amazing how agile that heavy ski now is
unfortunately, we ride in alot of smooth/glassy type conditions, so it really bothered her, but all better now
