Blowsion pole bracket

Trying to install this pole bracket and the hole in the hull for the cables does not line up when using the stock mounting holes.

Am I supposed to glass the current hole and recut?

Or can I move the bracket forward an inch to center it over the hole? It would be easier to glass the mounting holes up and re-drill rather than the large hole.
I'm just a little concerned with clearance with the nose piece/hood with the pole and bracket moved forward.

Problem is part of the hole is covered by the bracket and I don't have a breather tube of that size.

If I move it forward I can utilize the stock through hull rubber piece.

That bracket is meant to use a single breather tube thats why the hole is so large. If you use your "stock through hull piece" it will let a lot of water in. I would find a breather tube and notch out the ski, it's also a great time to add a backer plate.

Thanks for the tip. My main concern is with clearance issues with the pole, nose piece, etc when moving the bracket forward an inch or so.
The hole is not lined up at all in the original mounting spot. In fact the bracket covers part of the hole. So if I did enlarge it to the size of the bracket hole without glassing and recutting it will end up being oblong.

So what I think I'm going to try is filling the stock bolt holes and center the bracket hole over the current hole. Then I will enlarge and get the correct size breather tube.

I was under the assumption that the blowsion bracket was a bolt on and go type of product but I guess not.

I wouldnt worry to much about the breather hole being out of alignment.
Just bolt in place and notch out the hole to fit the breather tube, it should seal up pretty good even if your hole is a little off..

it is a bolt on and go but it was meant to be used with their breather tube i have same set up but 2 tubes just just cut 2 holes ! what i would do is get thier tube then bolt up your mount get a hole saw that will fit inside of the mount and use the bracket as a guide to bore it out!
