Blowsion RN Surf Build

Ok this is my new build thread this is going to be my surf/backup boat its a superjet hull with a cutout in the bond rail
items already purchased from blowsion

it was a bare white hull ive had it painted black im not a pro at building skis but im having a go so don't be to harsh lol

kicker mat kit black base yellow sides/dash
rail turf kit yellow
sheet 40x60 yellow
2 x bilge outlets red
2 x cooling outlets red
8mm plush undermat

ive just started to matt it up i will be buying parts as and when i need them most of the items will be from blowsion

well i think it might just be a stock 701 but im unsure as of yet

Stock 701 is a donkey, you should at least pipe it and up the compression...

why do people cut the rear bond line like that? what kind of work does it take to do it? is it a simple as just cutting it?

Ive just cut mine, its a pretty simple mod just cut it so its nearly flush underneath then finish it with a file or grinder. Its worth while trying to be as neat as possible when finishing the underside just so it doesnt look butchered especialy if your not painting.

what is the reason behind doing this mod?

It stops any drag created by the bond rail.

i cut the bondrail because most aftermarket trim systems hit the bond line when you pull them

matted the dash and did some inside the footholds

what footholds are those?

im not sure what footholds they are but they are modified with fiberglass enclosures you can mod most footholds that way

installed pole bracket and dash also done some matting in one of the footholds

tray completly matted now and turfed a stock chinpad with 8mm padding now just started rails
