Have you called them to explain the problem and see what they want to do to fix the issue? If so, and you're still unhappy then fair enough. If you haven't, I believe a phone call to John or Mark will get things squared away and would be the diplomatic thing to do. I would post here only as a last resort. No one here can solve the problem. That's for sure.

x100. Absolutely agreed. Call them, they are an extremely helpful bunch. Contacting the company BEFORE posting on a public board will probably yield better results.
Not saying this shouldn't be posted - but I would do it as a later/last resort, not first.

i dont want anything from them...there is nothing they can do at this point....like i said ill continue to buy their products ill just remember to order everthing further in advance...i just wanted to see if other people have had similar issues latley or if it was just a coinsidence it happened twice in a row...last time it didnt matter..i didnt NEED the parts but this time it did...ill get my ski dialed i was just a little dissapointed thats all.....blowsion is generally great, i like their products...im not ragging on them or telling people to not buy their stuff...im notgoing to call them and waste their time about a package that is already sent...just wanted to see if this is a common occurance...

p.s. what is calling them going to accomplish???...my parts will be here monday i dont want a discount or anything,,i hightly doubt me calling will change their shipping policy...posting it here is helpful to other so mabye they will follow up on their orders so the same dosnt happen to them

Gotcha.

Commenting on whether other people have had issues with them: I can speak only for myself, but in about 2 years of relatively frequent ordering from them, I've had trouble with a delayed shipment only once. Not a single issue other than that, so I am very happy with them.

five days is plenty of time to get a part shipped 1000miles....sometimes you dont have a choice like when you have a broken motor mount under the headpipe...and dont notice it right away

i ordered some misc items as well as the gasket i need for my bpipe headpipe...

If you need to have it by this weekend and have a Kawi dealer around, that three-holed headpipe gasket is from a 650 SX/X2/etc. They may have one in stock.

Blowsion has always treated me well. Shipping sucks to KY and it takes almost a week via UPS ground.

I would rethink that JK hood kit..........I have not heard very good things about that one.

for his purpose the JK hood is great, I hated mine for flat water, but it was build very well.............

I have done that before, it worked well for a long time.
I think I used thick hi-temp gasket paper from an automotive store.

I've used it, but I would still use the paper. I Had absolutely no issues with it.

just trace and cut w/ an exacto knife???....how do you do the inside of the headpipe?...tap it w/ a ballpien hammer to make an indentation and cut???

I don't recall specifically....the hammer sounds good.
You could use a sharpy to color the gasket contact surface on the headpipe, and then put the paper on.

I find the shipping to be a little slow as well. But I have ordered from them for a few years and expect it. I usually give them two weeks before I get concerned. As Riverrat said, shipping to KY is hard from anywhere. If I need parts quickly, I use denniskirk.com or my local Kawi/yami dealers. The dealers usually can get it in two days and Dennis Kirk ships same day and has reasonable shipping fees.

On Blowsions behalf, it does say "Processed" if by 12. Processed in terms of order processing refers to they acknowledge the order and have it picked in most cases. Not neccessarily even boxed.

I like Blowsions stuff and will continue to order from them as well as many other companies. I just never expect anything to arrive before 2 weeks unless as stated above with the local shops or Denniskirk.

what were your dislikes??

for flatwater the handhold locations just did not work for me, plus the shape of the hood does not balance you as well compaired to a Wamiltons..... Honestly, the Wamiltons hood is the best I have found as far as how a hood should work for hoodtricks.

If I just rode in the surf, then I would definately still have the JK hood.

never done a hood trick and dont plan too so it looks like the jk hood would be fine...i just use my handholds for removing the hood
