Super Jet blowsion tubbie detroyers instalation questions

I pick up a set of tubbie destroyer's. I am trying to put them on but I think the blowsion instructions are f'ed up.

According to their instructions For the 2008 super jet you need to measure 41.5 inches from the back of the hull and mark a line. Then you slide your sponson up to that line and thats where the sponson should go. If I measure out the 41.5 inches there is no way the sponson will fit.

If I use the 2007 superjet measurement which is 37.5 it fits but I have a good sized gap between the bottom of the hull and the bottom of the sponson. I guess I could shave the lip of the sponson with my dremel so it fits up to the hull tight. Yayyyyy!!!!! More grinding on expensive parts!

What measurement has everyone else used?

I have the instructions too here, think it was to center of rear bolt perhaps.

They are indeed for the 08 hull. or at least that what the sticker on the back says. Maybe blowsion put the stickers on the wrong tubbies? I got them to fit pretty good at 37.5 inch mark but there is defiantly no way they are fitting at the 41.5 inch mark. I'll make a call to blowsion monday just curious if anyone else ran into this problem. I just want to be sure everything is right before I drill a bunch of holes in the side of my hull.

On the instructions the picture clearly shows the measurement from the back of the ski to the very end of the sponson. That is where the mark should be.

I have fitted a few sets to 08's now, and found the instructions to be perfect. The sponson will took like it hangs too low, but once you have it in place, push it up really hard against the bond line and then drill the hole. Once bolted down, the sponson will follow the profile of the ski perfectly. They dont sit up 5mm off the curve on where the bottom/side meet like you would install a rec tubbie...they fit with a really close profile with the bottom.
