blowsion tubbies

does anyone in nor cal have a set of blowsion freeride tubbies that are not installed that would be willing to let me take a mold of them? i want to make some out of my left over carbon kevlar. not trying to turn any profit just want to make some cool looking parts.

Regardless of the questionable moral implications here.....I would be very cautious using kevlar on an exterior part.
It will be virtually impossible to sand those kevlar parts. You would have to put on epoxy and /or clear coat


Besides, I suggest not stealing designs. ;)

Check out the thread "FX1 sponsons" or so for a good instructional on making your own sponsons.

what are the questionable moral implications if im only going to make a piar for myself?

I don't think there is any law preventing a person from making copies of a product if they purchased the product themselves... kinda like backing up a cd you purchased is legal....

Using a part that was bought by someone else and splashing it is highly frowned upon... I suggest you not do that out of courtesy toward Blowsion...

i respect that. i just shearched "FX1 Sponsons" and read that. i think i will just make my own.

I think I'm gonna have to do a "How to make a mold" buildup, so some people can get a better idea of how it is properly done. I have carbon/kevlar sponsons and a carbon hull that I made myself, and sanding was not an issue, nor did I have to add epoxy or clear coat to prevent having exposed fibers. I do clear my parts to prevent UV damage, though.
