I've been riding my current superjet for about 5 years, and decided it was finally time to put the tired old hull out to pasture. While everyone else seems to be jumping over to aftermarket hulls, I'm sticking with the tried and the true, a pre-08 superjet.

After spending some time up with Blowsion, they've been kind enough to send me back a very nicely painted ski with a reinforcing job that's prettier than I ever could have done on my own.

I'm still waiting on a few parts, and then my basically new Kommander built 760 will be moving over to it's new home.

I'll be sure to post more pictures as the pole arrives and the ski gets some turf.

Very nice! Will you have it at Surf Slam?

Without a doubt! This thing has been in the works for quite a long time, so I suspect the build should go pretty smooth. I am trying to minimize the amount of stuff that I cannibalize from my old ski, as I'm actually hoping to have it as a backup, and as something for my girlfriend to ride.

Im digging the colour combo BIG TIME!!!

Thanks! There's a bit of back story to the pink, in that 4 years or so ago, Ross said "I always thought hot pink would be cool, but didn't really have the balls to do it". I painted a blaster with some super hot pink shortly after, and every ski and iteration of paint since has had pink in it somewhere. I'm pretty stoked about this one. A friend of mine said, "Man, it's so 1990, yet so 2010."

Bahaha! I remember that pink Blaster. You brought it to Pismo in '07.

Spent a few hours in the garage with Mr. Champion last night working on the ski. We got the ski part way turfed, and the new handle pole and steering all setup. I had no idea RRP poles came so damn long, I had to take 6 1/2 inches off to get the right length.

Ross is being SUPER meticulous with the turf, I can't wait to try out these footholds!

A few more updated pictures.Except for minor trimming, the turf is finished.

Once I get the new couplers from Cold Fusion, the motor will be going in. I've left behind my roots of using old used parts for everything - Nearly everything on this ski right now is brand new. It's a pretty awesome feeling. I'm very happy with the way this ski has come together. Visually, the only thing left to finish is the chinpad, and the rest of the sponsor logos.

I owe a massive thanks to Ross, he spent HOURS helping me this weekend. I've never seen the man put so much care into turfing a ski, and he did the job about 100 times better than I could have.
