Boat in camping using only stand up skis?

This is how I haul my poop when jet ski camping...

You can always buy a cheap boat or an old couch on Craigslist, use it for the camping trip, and then put it up for sale, even potentially for a loss. Here's one for sale (perhaps in your area) for $600 with a trailer. Even if you sold it for $400, it would cost less than renting a boat for one day. With the cargo space, you might have to make a few trips, but I bet it would be a more convenient tow vehicle than a standup.

Here's a $400 raft that might be perfect for towing, or, you could buy a $200 outboard and cross your fingers.

We've used a waterproof backpack, big drybag in the front of the tray, and tow a kayak full of firewood and beer. You can easily fit 2 nights worth of stuff. I use a long rope for the kayak. It starts hunting left and right if it's in the pump wash and tries to flip if you are planed off. You can cruise though.

You can get 12-14 foot aluminum boats for $200 bucks all day here in Wisco.

I'd have to opt for towing something that can NOT flip over. otherwise you have to waterproof everything.

I camp with my 14 foot boat and jet ski, just bring a friend or three to drive the boat. No towing that way ;)

I have an empty 550 hull, i just figured it would tip over too easily. Has anyone actually towed one of these? I guess i could fab something up like crazy big tubbies to keep it more stable.

I towed a 550 once but not loaded with beer and gas. It did fine but obviously the weight distribution would be way different. People let go of old couch hulls for free or close to it all the time. You'd get tons of storage space inside a 3 seater. The old polaris triple cylinder hulls are really wide. Too bad you are so far away or I'd let you have a SL750 hull for real cheap.
