For Bruce, sell it to him for the shipping price! Great dude
check it out matt its like this for me ,this is not a challenge on who's product choice is better than who's,i hear a lot of things on this site and other sites and its like a flocks of sheep, people follow the majority of what people are recommending or buzzing about .me personally i don't take everything i read or hear from people or the net as gospel but i do believe all of what i see and know to be true ,thats just me .and my experience with advent has been great! the thing rips on my kawi based motor ,now i am yet to try one on a yami powerplant and hey i could be totally wrong about its reliability ,its just that i personally haven't ran into issues, and know others who have had the same experience to back my thinking .but theres also the dynamic of riding in the salt/surf (which i don't do )and yamaha's e -box being known not to seal the greatest i don't know ? when i did purchase my advent i did take the time to do my homework and called and talked to different engine builders and steve webster is the one that helped me with my set up.i am not trying to get into a battle over these issues and i know there are a ton of guys who run total loss and love it ,but for me i didn't want to go that route .but one thing i do know is i ended up running advent for the same reason this post got started, mine crapped out ,and its not the only one that has been an issue lately, these units are known to fail .would i still run an msd hell ya i got one in my yami right now and i run them in other things i own but thats another story altogether. i do think advent is one of those company's that get overlooked as a great option in our sport .the t-4 lap top programable with remote capabilities and can be run as total loss has a ton of potential in the right hands ,and dangerous to those who don't know what their doing.its just my take on things !matt i respect your input. but dude for someone who has input on like all of the threads on here it seems like a different view might be refreshing now and again and turn thinking outside the box.i don't know maybe im just wrong all the way around and advent is going out of business any day now ?? this isn't just some ego'd out post its just my 02 cent for what its worthProgrammable ignitions are great, but I prefer them to be at least somewhat reliable and have a warranty that's worth a damn, or some after-sale support. Or how about being able to program them yourself instead of having to send it out?
Hummmmm Advent seems ruled out on a couple of those points.
