so putting my down payment on a gen1 bob on Thursday. donor ski that I got I just found out in a 6m6 engine.... is it worth upgrading? Im thinking just a head and carb and then save for a big motor. is it worth it to do 61x cylinders for the little bit of displacement

Going from a 650 to a 701 engine worth it? Yes!

not a complete engine just putting the cylinders on my 650. making it a 701. won't be using 61x cases. as i have a line on a 760 that is going in this winter....

I think the exhaust ports are bigger on that cylinder than your exhaust manifold if you are stock exhaust so do some port matching our you won't getting as much power.

I hope the gen 1 Bob is a killer deal. Their reputation for quality was a lot more sketchy then.

No personal experience with either one but you haven't got much response so I figured I'd throw it out there
