Surfriding BOB Gen 2 Standard strong enough for surf?

I have put my Gen 2 through countless surf days with 15 ft plus backies and barrels and no sign of any stress on the hull here's a pic of a flatwater built Gen 3 getting tested by my buddy Trevor........it has held up fine!!! And the other pic is of me on my Gen 2(about to flip with Trevor on Gen 3 next to me mid flip and our buddy Cole on a Gen 2 with a stock 650!!!

word on the street is the clinic has a new freeride hull.......6 inches longer than the bob and other hull mods
