Bob Gen 3

One of my Favorite hulls to ride. Super Twitchy and fun. Definetly a former competition ski. I rode multiple setups including, carbon 888 5mm with 144 pump, carbon 1100 16mm with 148 pump, carbon 1000 10mm 148 pump, and carbon 771 SS with 144 pump. The bigger pump really stables the ski out I found. Great affordable option especially the DIY ones. The ski clinic is nice to deal with to.

The first time I rode one I hated it, but I had only rode a superjet and Matrix before that so I wasn't used to riding a short hull...I found it very hard to ride. After riding my own short hull this year I rode the same Gen3 and it was much easier to ride.

I love mine. Derrick did a great job on it too! the finish is great... or was. (learning how to flip is hard on a ski) hahaha but not cracks or splits in the shell, only a bit of gel coat chips. As far as the ride, its a very different hull to ride because of the beluga bulge under the nose but its not at all a "bad" different. At first its tough to get a hang of because the hull likes to ride with the water running right under the bulge but after half an hour you will realize that that bulge really doesn't mess with the maneuverability of the ski. Where it really comes into play is when you are "popping" of your wake, its hard to explain but it feels like the bulge helps angle the pumps power to get a better thrust out of the wake. In the end the hull is an amazing hull to learn on and a very very fun ski to ride, i have ridden few hulls that id say id buy but the Gen 3 is defiantly a great hull and id defiantly recommend it to anyone.

Only have a couple tanks through the Gen 3, but so far I am really impressed with it. Much easier to ride at WOT then I thought it would be too.

Season is half way over. Buy something ready to drop in your stuff and ride. As for a winter project why not. My first hull was my gen 2. I liked it but if I was to touch another one of their products it would be a hurricane and not go back to a BOB. The engine compartment is easier to work on. Although if you have quality and reliable motor you won't be wrenching much ha!
