Hey guys, so the deal went through, Gen 1 BOB hull #32 coming in probably a week.
Awesome seller
Great deal!
Wanted to know what you guys think of the Gen 1's
I know a lot about them and stopped in at the Ski clinic a while ago and was told great things.
Also I am transferring all my SN Superjet parts over, Ive got:
Yamaha 760
Pro-Tec Head wake up kit
Pro-Tec Pipe
Pro-Tec Ebox
Stock SJ pump
with the deal comes:
Carbon ride plate
Mid-Shaft
And other small parts.
I have absolutely no money left, Haha because Im only 14, but next will be:
Factory B-Pipe
ADA Girdled Head
Wondering what a Gasket kit would cost me for my 760 if I wanted to sport port myself??
Or if its worth it?

The Sport Port is definitely worth it. You'd need about $30-$50 in gaskets and seals.

Ahh alright, well I have a lot to do so maybe Ill do the pump swap and everything else first then see about the sport port, I can do it or my brother works at a machine shop. So even better.
What will it do for me? Lots more bottom end or no?

I would get the ski built before worring about any engine work. You will have some unexpected costs along the way. If the build is done, it's still cold out, and you have money, pull the engine then and do the port work if you desire. Personally, I would wait until you can aford the other compenents you're wanting and do it all at once.

Excellent advice Schmidt721. Get it going first with what you have and note how it rides. Then change items one at a time and test. This way you can easily tell if the change you make is positive or negative. To many people change to much too fast and don't really know what helped or didn't. This will also build knowledge and confidence in your abilities. Good luck.

I got my gen 1 a week ago, and have strated too put it together. Mine is pretty heavy 110 lbs but probley bulletproof it is a litthel tricky too put together. Pump i hade too modifie ebox was a Bi%#?h too mount beecours i run a drypipe. And the pole also had too bee modified. Thats how long i am att this time

It is not hard mine just didtn fit straight in, i hade too head the 2 "brackets" in the back of the pump and bende them a littel. The ebox was ther not alot of room for bechause of the front foodhold and my dry pipe(type 4) and a bad locathed bilge outlet. I made a mount from stainles steel too mount it on. But now i have too run my bilge switch,primer,and my on/off fuel switch in the engine bay.

Okanagan Lake is one of the nicest around. Super Warm for Canada standards and lots of eye candy. I live In Maple Ridge and just minutes to the river, Alouette Lake and an Hour to Rec beach in the Pac Ocean, Cultuss and Harrison lakes are pretty nice as well. Every year i cruise up that way and camp by the beach and ski. You probably have the first Bob in B.C.

I know your area well, never skied there though....yet!
Come up anytime, we have a lake property and would love to ride with someone new
Only 14, would be sick to be one of the youngest kids to FW flip

Did you come down and check out the Center of Gravity in summer 2010? Had my BOB Gen 1 in the show. You're going to love the ski!

Hah! Actually I got to center of gravity every year....
funny thing is I wasent into jet skis then....
Hahah Just last summer, guess I progressed sorta fast!
Wish I was in that show then, they havent put in on since! For some reason they got rid of the jetski freestyle and racing!

Ha ha i am not from vancouver i live in denmark. Got my bob almost ready today engine was fired up soo test ride tomorrov, if you want some engine pic i can email you some.
