Boiling sound at water bypass ??

Location

I've been ridding with my b pipe and ada head now for 3-4 tanks and have continued to notice a boiling sound coming from the pisser when I turn it off to take a break. I keep watching the water temp at the pisser and all seems fine (Its hot but I can keep my hand there for as long as id like). I've checked the pipe temp from the head pipe to the stinger and I can hold my hand on that also without it burning as well as both cylinders.

I have single cooling and I am running my water lines the way FPP recomends (cylinder head to top of head pipe. bottom of head pipe to bypass and stinger). I am also running a 2.0 needle as a restrictor before the waterbox. My water screws are Top: 1/2 turn out Middle: closed Bottom: 1/2 turn out.

Should I be concerned about this? Could it be the water box getting to hot because of the restrictor? Any advise?? Thanks!!!

Wouldn't my engine and pipe be to hot to the touch and hold when it sizzling?

Its possible and more likely what your hearing is water flowing backwards out of the cooling system, due to no pressure, from the engine being off. More of a gurgleing / air bubbling sound than it actually boiling. I hear this on all my ski's especially if their on a stand in the water.
If you were running that hot then yes, you would not be able to touch your head, or head pipe.

shade tree method of testing if your motor is overheating:

you should be able to touch your head with your hand for about 2 seconds.

Your head pipe is probably around the same temp and your chaimber shouldn't be able to be touched at all, it may even sizzle a little when water is thrown on it. If it's hotter than that you've got a problem.

So its most likely water flowing backwards through the system since I can hold my hand on the engine and the pipe even after a WOT run. It also sounds like I should be able to start drying my pipe out some more by closing the screws, water no where near sizzles on the chamber.

Yes you could close them up abit. Like Wavedemon said watch your chamber, come in after a hard ride and splash a bit of water on it it should sizzle lightly. If your just goofing around and not riding it hard it may not get to that point. You will probably end up somewhere in the neighborhood of either your top or bottom open about 3/8-1/2 and the rest closed.
