Personally, I use grease (anti-seize) on everything except reed/cage screws, inside the electrical box and inside the front stator cover.

If it can get wet, then it will corrode eventually if ridden in Saltwater.

I just used never-seize the silver stuff on all my superjet hardware. I have used this grease called superlube and it works good on areas that aren't exposed to frequent water. It will wash out over time from what i've been told. but just my 2 cents. I would like to know the ultimate thing....

Dude coat EVERY bolt on your ski with ANTI SEIZE. Its not a lubricant and its not a locktight, it just prevents corrosion buildup on your bolts. The stuff is AMAZING. I ride 100% salt water and have NEVER had an issue removing bolts that have been previously coated with this stuff, even bolts that were coated more than 2 years previously.

blue locktite on everything except x-metal pole bolt. I'm cursed with bolts that loosen after I tighten them.

thread sealant on the long bolt shafts that yamaha uses is a nice touch too (I don't do it but I appreciate it when other do)

Loctite works well on fasteners that never need re-torquing. Anti-seize doesn't seal water out but acts as an anode between steel and aluminum. It works but is like treating a patient after you have made him sick. BTW it must be zinc not copper anti-seize. My personal favorite is teflon thread sealant, it has anti-seize properties and keeps water out. Waterproof marine grease also does a good job. Whatever you use make sure the bolt head is sealed, if water never gets in it cannot corrode. Also be careful when torquing with lubed bolts, use the lower value listed or they will be effectively be over-torqued

If you can find the miltary grade anti seize its black and not silver i think perma tech makes it still - i dont think the silver stuff is salt water rated

The other thing i like to use is 1211 or the stuff u use on gas lines - pipe dope on those long pump bolts

You put RED loctite on everything?

Screw that.

thats crazy!

we use nothing but red grease fortified with antiseize...get it at the auto parts store

i have had to many things come loose / fall off, etc due to bolts/nuts coming loose... i torque down everything with a torque wrench and set it to spec as best as possible (with the #'s i have found on the forums / service manual(s)).

i have never had a problem with removing, cleaning and reapplying new loctite if something needs to be taken apart / reassembled.

I bought a tube of that grease last night at Advance Auto for under $5. Every single bolt on my X-Scream engine is coated in this stuff so i figured I'd use it on my new build.
