Bottom coating

I know what to paint the bottom of your ski has been a topic that's been beat to death just like what oil to run. My question is has anyone ever tried the stuff they put on the bottom of an air boat. steal flex, gator glide, frog spit or wet lander.
They work great on airboats that run dry over mud, rocks sand. Why wouldn't it work in a ski?

I had a 650sx hull coated with rhino lining when I was in high school a long time ago and it was bullet proof but added a lot of weight.
The coating that they use for airboats has silicone inpregnated in it so it also glides on water better as well as withstands dry runs. That's why I was wondering is anyone has ever used it.

I did the bottom of a couch I am working on with a mix of epoxy resin, dye, and 3m micro spheres. It spread pretty evenly and went on fairly smooth. After it dried I went over it with 220 grit and it looks pretty good. End of the season I will flip her over and see how well it held up.

Prepped with 36 grit and cleaned with acetone before brushing it on.
