Bought a SN with two primers, no reserve switch???

I just bought a 650 SN that has been modified for dual carbs. First off the owner I bought it from had no idea what mods were done so i cant ask him. so here is my issues. someone replaced the choke with a primer. The lines from that primer feed out of the fuel tank and into one carb. Then they removed the fuel pidcock and ran the lines from that one into the other carb. So basically now I have no on/off/reserve switch, which bugs the hell out of me. I want a reserve. Under the hood someone wrote 220c, which im assuming is the compression they are running (AM head on it)? My question to you guys is can I switch back to splitting one fuel line to run to both carbs so that I can use the other fuel line for the reserve or do I have to have the added flow for that head? Thanks

check the compression before you do anything. If it really is 220psi you are going to need to run 114+ octane fuel.

Most people here run the fuel directly to the carb and by pass the on/off switch. I would add a T to one of the primers and have it squirt fuel into each carb at the same time though...
