Thanks guys!

I added a few more things earlier today; pole rope, billet finger throttle and some foam blocks under the top of the pole. Im going to try to get the pole spring on tomorrow.

Im pretty tall so it seemed a bit more comfortable to me, but I did pull one of them out as that was way too much, I might have to trim it even more.

I had the front hood latch come off while riding, luckily i noticed before i filled up with water. I ended up getting a hood latch from wetracer. its worked great so far.

I'm kind of stuck in a dilemma. After riding the FX over the weekend I don't think I will really use the Blaster that much to justify keeping it around, so I'm already thinking about selling it. Should I sell it now since its at a high point of the season, or should I keep it around and rob some parts off it over the winter and then part it out?

edit - After thinking about it I don't think I could bare to strip down the Blaster, its too mint. I was thinking that I could keep the pump, carb and maybe the crank, but I would rather keep it together and sell it.

I'm wondering how the FX-1 drive-shaft compares to the SJ and Blaster. Could a different shaft be used to set the pump back when swapping to the 144? Maybe that would be a bad idea? It looks like I'm going to have to sell the Blaster to fund some upgrades for over the winter: ADA Girdled Head, B Pipe, 61x/62T Cases w/Dual 44's

i used the sj drive shaft and had x-metal make a spacer for my fx .. its set back like 2 inches they also would need to weld some ears on the
reduction nozel

Whats the spacer for? I could probably get someone to tig up anything I would need to make it happen. I was thinking about drafting in the whole pump section from an sj

Thanks!

I measured out where I'm going to put the foot-straps last night, I came up with ~12in from the back rail and ~3.5in up from the bottom of the tray on the gun-wales, mainly to simulate foot-holds for the time being. Now to start cutting into this turf :/

Well I didn't get the foot-straps on yet, but I did get a lot of other stuff done.

My Snap Strap Hood Straps showed up so I started on those first.

And then I started investigating this..

I try to keep this thing as clean as I can, but after riding it a few times I kept noticing this build-up arising around the temp sensor. Turns out the exhaust chamber has a hairline crack.

I'm almost ready to leave these things alone for the rest of the season and hopefully be able to get in some good riding. I have some black diamond turf for the blaster, scoop grate on the way for the fx-1 and foot-straps to put on both of them. After that the only other thing I would like to do for this season is get a new prop for the fx-1. Then its time to save for a couple b-pipes and ada heads!

that is what we did.(tom21 and I) we took and made a mold of the sj tunnel area and glassed it in the fx using the sj drive shaft that is 2 inches longer than a fx drive shaft we ( x-metal/ pat) had to make an adaptor between the pump shoe and pump housing. after that we welded ears onto the reduction nozel to bolt everything in on the factory holes... cheap mans set back pump..

we also made a mold of the fx with tubbies and the sj pump tunnel all together... in the near future we will be making a carbon fx with the sj pump tunnel

Today was a total letdown, the Blaster is still running really lean and I cannot figure it out. The only thing I changed on it was converting it to pre-mix, I'm running it at 40:1, 3 turns out on the screws and the plugs are still white...oh and now the FX-1 is full of water.

Hopefully that will cure it, I'm going to pull the carb off once I get it out of the water.

Still lost on the FX-1, my only thought is that the hood-straps are somehow blocking enough water at the rear hood drains to cause it to fill up, but that doesn't seem reasonable. It was running great but I could feel it getting heavy so I popped the hood and the water was halfway up the flywheel cover.

Fx-1 have one of the best sealing hoods, see if a cooling line popped off or has a slit in it somewhere. Best way would e to leave it on the trailer and back it into the water and see what happens. Hope you get it fixed, jetskis are a love/hate relationship. Lol

If there's a ton of water could be the midshaft seals
