Surfriding Boyesen Intake Studs (Hardware)

Where can I find the studs (think there are 4) that go into the engine case and holds the intake in with lock nuts?
Or what size are they, maybe I can buy them online?

McMaster has them...I think. I had to buy some a few years back and think that's where I got them. M6 x 1.0. I forget the length. 30mm at least maybe 40mm.
2lick has that bolt thread spread sheet with the bolt specs for R&D dominator mani that's like the Boyesen.

6mm X 1.0. Just take long stainless bolts and cut the heads off. That way you can dial in the lengh you would like and the stud will be bottomed out in the hole in the case. Full ingaugement.

whats the best way to get a clean cut on all thread so there is no stripping?

grinder wheel and die...

Since you're making a stud this doesn't matter but if ever shortening a bolt make sure you put the die on before cutting. Will save a lot of headaches.

First put a nut on the bolt. Make your cut a little long either with a hack saw or cut off wheel. Then on a bench grinder, grind a taper on the end you cut, kind of a bull nose if you know what I mean. What that does is take off the damage from cutting and put it below the Outside diamater. Then back the nut of the end you cut.

Don't cut a bolt. Just buy the right hardware first off. The cost is only a couple bucks.

Do you have one of my flywheel covers? Buy any of the covers and Ill get the right bolts and ship them to you. Probably less than $5 for ALL the bolts to fasten the manifold.
