Braddock Bay Freeride, Aug 9 2014 (Rochester, NY)

Join us for a fun day rippin', riding, partying at Braddock Bay. On Lake Ontario just west of Rochester, NY... starting around noon.
This is an informal un-sanctioned event at a casual location (e.g. never a Coast Guard boat in sight). Just show up, launch ($8 launch fee), and ride. Can get some nice rollers on the lake, and can have some calmer waters in the bay. Lots of room to work on & show off some of your freeridin' talents.
Will see if we can get a couple boats for some double boat wake air.
Picnic & beach area for all your friends & family to join in.

Great location for spectators due to the two rock walls that extend 100+ feet out. Awesome idea. Maybe we can get a freeride here next year if we get enough local support.

I am planing on coming and I am bringing at least 3 ski. I know one buddy is coming and working on more!
Also bringing my family if the weather is good. Wife and 2 little girls.

for anyones 1st time riding there(refering to the pic in post #1), you will launch and then ride out of the bay and around that point, back to the "riding area" and beach. its only a 3 to 5 min ride, not very far at all, so if you have ppl w/o a ski they can just walk from the launch parking to the beach in about the same amout of time it takes you to ride there. when exiting the bay into the lake its only 2ish ft deep unless you go way out in the channel which is not necessary. just wanted to give everyone a heads up so no one hits bottom jumping or whatever by the mouth of the bay

I'll be there around 10am to set up a small buoy course and other things. Everything will be in place to start riding by noon.

Could not ask for a better day for this. Forecast is 80 degrees, sunny, 0% chance of rain. This will be fun. Yah!

Parking is free. It is $8 to use the launch. If not using the launch, just drive past the marina office.
The marina is the 2nd left from the parkway (1st left is Braddock Bay park)
