Other brand new 2013 stock superjet wont effing start

You just lit a lightbulb for me matty. My ski didn't have spark and I have old components so I went ahead and got some used ones, well your little spill up there about holding stop button to stop spark made me think. So I come out here and sure as the black connector for my start switch was unplugged. I must of snagged it while doing something. I feel like a goober now

In OEM configuration, it will not crank when the lanyard is disconnected. You can stop the spark by pressing the stop button while cranking.

Interesting... mine definitely cranks w/o the lanyard. I know because l usually have a zip tie on S/S switch. I go to the lake once a year, and run a lanyard while I'm there. I sat floating for 10 minutes one day because I couldn't figure out why my ski wouldn't start. I had forgotten to put the lanyard in because I'm so used to not having to do it. haha.

x2. This is nothing. A few years ago, I bought a boat with a Force outboard motor. I didn't realize it needed premix and seized it within 10 minute runtime of new ownership. LOL

I then rebuilt that four-cylinder pig on our kitchen table while my wife was out of town, redeeming my man card.

In all reality, forgetting to turn the fuel selector to ON was probably the best case scenario. Id be pissed if something was wrong with my brand new superjet!

Me too, that's why I mentioned it. There was a time when I would pull the lanyards off for long trips and then forget to put them back on when I got to the launch.

As mentioned earlier, the Kawis will crank without the lanyard but so will some of the Superjets if they have a JSS modded start/stop switch.

How did you get your hands on a 2013 from the dealer. Here in east texas ive been told by the dealer that I can only get one with a racing lisence.

Bah. So get an IJSBA membership.
That dealer isn't trying hard enough. Buddy of mine bought one just a few weeks ago, fresh 2013 from Blowsion. No license needed.
