and thats what you get jnutz for running cheap SH**
Castor 927 or Amsoil zinggggg

I would like to run those oils. My buddy is running some synthetic oil (castor i think?) and he pays like $35 for a half gallon ($70/ga). I can't afford that. I have a stock motor anyway. Quicksilver is a premium 2-stroke oil by mercury. It's about $30/ga at Walmart but the local dealer buys 55ga drums and sells it by the gallon for $21.

Does your ski break up at all rpm or just in the mid range?

My ski just developed a similar probelm as what you describe in Daytona. I changed the plugs and the problem resolved but it came backs with a vengeance my next ride when I got home. My ski idles fine and doesn't want to get going, but when it does it pulls hard on the top. I think mine is sticking needles and seats but I haven't had the chance to look at it yet.

Had the same symptoms and thought it was fixed many times, so may have had multiple issues going on. Ever since I swapped my 61x stator/fw for 62t setup though it is all good. I also re-directed my hood breather tubes, fixed exhaust leaks, cleaned internal carb filter, replaced tank vent, and half a dozen other things but the stator/fw seemed to be the key.

How long does it break up after it starts? Will it start after a stab or roll and then never go away untill you bring it in and let it sit for a while? Change the plugs and go back out its fine again till it gets inverted again, then same issue all over where it wont go away?

mine was fine for like an hour, multiple stabs.. then i did one and it started the fouled out sound... put new plugs in and was fine untill another 3 stabs then same thing.. this time i was out of plugs and about a mile away from truck so i said f it, and held it oopen... after about 5 str8 minutes of half to open throttle and running on what sounded like 1 cylinder it got all the power back and was fine after that. so the oil thing, not so much on this instance as it was castor 927...

If no arching in dark with salt water spray on coil wires. Try removing msd boots cleaning with a good cleaner for remove all grease of any kind. Wear gloves. Reassemble totally cleaned inspected or new boots and zip tie ends. At plugs and on wires.
