Like I said before I have the house that me and my gang r committed to so me plus 7 are coming regardless. If this event happens to be cancelled we will have to set up a place at brig to all meet at and figure where we r going

Ok, the weather report is supposed to be real nice for this weekend (sunny, 70's, and light winds). The surf report isn't epic, but decent.
Now about the ride... The city controls everything. We are still being patient on the final decision they agree on. The ball was always in their court regardless of any of this "panic chatter" that's going on here. Apparently, the contracts were signed by the city the day before the ride last year. Let's see what the city decides on.
We will always be able to ride @ the Cove but will have to launch @ the boat ramp
Wow....to all this however, looking forward to seeing Mr tender foot and it's not even January. Yup, your blessed

Trust me someone else will be in charge of this next year.
And you would think with all that time on Instagram or Facebook you would talk about this upcoming event weeks before it right?

When are we going to have a clue of whats up. I like everyones enthusiasm but I think its not optimal for a hundred or more jetskis and vehicles at one boat ramp with skis coming and going at will , fixing skis , gassing up skis. I ride with guys who have 1100 tpe's with thimble sized gas tanks. Im riding a ss tpe with a dixie cup sized gas tank. Im sure most guys with 15 - 20K jetskis are pretty picky on where there ski is sitting while they walk across a parking lot for a gastank to refil the thimble. im picturing quite the clusterfuk .

Believe me no one who is working on this project now (chuck and jd) wanted to put any of you in this position. Nor did they want this responsibility. As jd said the silence doesn't mean anyone is with hold info. It means there is no info. I know that's scrappy but it's the truth.

As far as having a real outlaw style freeride at the south end Cove. Some ideas are everyone launches at the free ramp and rides the 4 miles around to the Cove (the Cove is a sand beach at the south end inlet right behind the inlet break, where waves are normally plentifully). Some designated trucks would carry fuel cans, coolers, backpacks, and any essential things needed for the day of riding. This way even those with small tanks and big motors can ride all day and make it back to there truck. The Cove is easily accessible from the street for those spectating and not riding. Any broken skis could be taken back to the ramp parking lot by some volunteer with a beach pass. One thing we all ask is that those who have not paid there 175 4x4 pass do not just go driving on to the Cove, even if there is no one at the entrance checking passes. The cops have many 4x4 vehicles and check for passes constantly. If people just start driving on with no passes its a large fine and could end even this plan b event. This is just one of the ideas for a plan b.
