Freestyle Brigantine Beach Bash

It's not about who's surf is better , it's about actually having East Coast Freerides that's are in Driving Distance of all U.S. NJ , NY , PA, MD Peeps. Losing a Jersey Ride this year because of a Person who is classified as a
"poop Stain On The Underwear Of Life" Truly Sucks for not only is Locals , but all you folks who travel out of your way to come here .

Thanks!

John , we understand you guys have some
Epic Surf, we have all seen your pictures and the videos.

You are kinda missing the point I am making I feel . One Less Freeride for all of us.

Brigantine is Probably the Best Surf we get in Jersey, so missing an even this year sucks. Even though I am Local, I still never ride Brig.... So when I have the opportunity to get there for the event it makes it enjoyable.

I think you James and Tom should try to get something together up your way if not this year with the West Coast Stuff you guys have going on, but maybe next year. That would be cool to get people up your way. I know us SJ guys would like to come ride with you guys .

I was just messing around. Honestly the brig ride was my favorite. The only problem I see trying to get a ride together is housing. We have a lot of hotels in long beach but they are not cheap. And the other hotels on the main island are a little sketchy. I would love to put something together and the beach we ride at is a 15 minute walk to get to the action which makes it hard for friends and family to watch. We can always do a weekend ride anywhere in down to travel or have everyone come here, we just need to decide on it.

Damn, I feel like the that's always the biggest issue accommodation. It's a damn shame we have only Daytona to look forward too. I believe next year when we really all get on the ball with jersey we will put together something . This year was just bad timing for our whole crew.

After our Beach House is over we are hoping to get up with your guys .... TBH , I don't even think I am ready for surf I see you guys getting. I might be swimming all day Lol ! We haven't had surf like that Since like Hurricane Irene

Problem with a NY freeride is location. We could never drive on a beach, it would have to be more of a "I'm serious about riding, my ski actually runs, I can ride for more than 14 minutes without needing gas" thing due to where we launch out of. I don't wanna have to double tow everyone back to the ramp like we do with @Gliderskier all the time....hahahah
Our spot is killer, we launch from a free ramp. We have showers and a flush out, but there isn't a location for a hotel or campground within minutes driving distance. The only camping is inland 30-40 minutes at a sh itty spot, and the hotels in tourist town long beach 15 min away where there is sketchy parking for expensive skis.

If a bunch of you guys are interested in shredding I'm sure we can make some accommodations for ya to make a weekend out of it. In the fall we get storms frequently so if you're ready we can make it happen.

being from Canada we don't have any surf. i would be down to stay at a camp site that is 30 mins away. is there any place you can park a truck and or trailer for the day and beach cart the skis to the beach?

I bet Ontario and Erie get some nice surf in the fall. That would be a much closer drive too.

I live 5 mins jet ski ride away from lake Ontario and yes it can be good waves but its not the same kinda wave and its harder to pull flips and or land cuz the wind it blowing you over

We have no beaches here that you can use a beach cart "legally".

I'm sure us guys who live here have space for some trailers for a weekend if people get a hotel. We all live in nice neighborhoods with no worries of people snagging your skis.

As for leaving skis parked in long beach. Ehhhh I probably wouldn't. The parking is tough and they have their own police force.

This biggest thing is what James said. You need a ski that's reliable and runs for an entire 5 gallon tank of gas +2 gallons we commute to the ride spot with in the tray. If you have sub par equipment and break down, just expect to sit on a random beach and wait for everyone to run their tanks dry before they yow you back to the ramp.
