Blaster broken hood studs

2 of the 5 studs that hold the hood hinge to the hull side broke. Can the studs be removed and replaced withpan head screws. Id rather not put it all together and discover that it interferes with closing. Trying to get this b1 into the water for as little money upfront as possible.

Pretty sure the studs are welded on...I'm sure u can find a used hinge for cheap...or find a ss hinge like the 701 and drill your own holes.

I've got a stocker you can have but im in Canada

No that hinge closes flat against itself.

You will have to drill and countersink the hinge with one of these and use countersunk screws.

Note: I dont mean to insult your intelligence if your aware of what countersunk bits and machine screws are.

Rad dudes sells a heavy duty B1 hinge made by NYNJA $80 I think i paid.

I ordered a 701 hinge. $58 shipped on ebay.

I'll try to fix the old hinge as @tzane said and save it for my X2 project.

Im gonna check our the rad dudes hinge too, the rad dudes are pretty rad if ya know what I mean.

I don't think it's on the website. Email them to get it. Much beefier than 701, has an extra wing above the hood side hinge holes that uses 4 bolts thru the lip. I had to take off my surf seal tho
