here is what i did last year.

now i changed a few things around.

Before daytona i got a WDK diablo hood kit. I also switched from a TBM pump cone and 12/17 skat mag prop to a stock prop from an 08 SJ.
I also yanked off the surfjetlouie tubbies and got a set of #.0 tubbies.

Since then i bought some more go fast parts:

msd enhancer, riva intake mani and 44's, boyesen reed petals, prok flame arrestors.

last summer i stuck a ring on the front cylinder. I honed it and put some used pistons in to get me through the season.

Now i got some .025 over pro-x pistons, and its going to be ported as well.

tonight i put some straight bars on my stock turnplate. should get the pole/steering setup a bit shorter. UMI bars measure 25 1/2 inches. I cut my straight bars to 24 inches.... hope I like them 1 1/2 less wide.

EDIT: straight bars at 24 inches would not work, the throttle would hit the pole before the steering went to full lock. I just cut another set of bars at around 27 inches, im going to see how I like them and cut them down more if i have to.

got my turnplate pad mounted. it took a little dremeling to make it fit the ac pole.

also got my front foothold on there and all the holes drilled. nothing is tight because i dont have my ebox mounts here. once i get them tomorow im going to bolt everything up.

i did a little stand surfing and its definitely a nice piece very comfortable and its nice that you can use the whole front of the tray.
