Budget A/m hull questions

I currently have a 750sxi thats been in the family since new. It is completely stock. I do some surf and also some flatwater. I am looking for a hull that I can swap my components from my ski into. I have looked at the EME Aerial 8 and the Micro. I was wondering if I could get some opinons on both. What is required for the hull besides a new handle pole? Will i need a new driveshaft etc? Just trying to get an estimate of how much it would cost to get a reliable budget set up.
Thanks

IMO I wouldnt put a 750 into a a/m hull, Kawa. 800 or 701.. I have a build a few a/m hulls but they were all yamaha base...

Keep in mind you can just run conversion plates and you can put your Kawi motor in pretty much any hull. You'd just have to get a Yamaha pump setup, and stock ones are going for cheap these days.

@Tpete115 has a Smdubs Q8 with a 750 setup (for sale too). I'm sure he could tell you more about what parts are needed. I know you will need a 650sx driveshaft and pole like you mentioned, you will need a different exhaust and waterbox (sxr bpipe), but otherwise I think everything will switch over.

i was plannng on doing the same thing u are but due to budget my recomendation is mod the 750 (foot holds, pole, d cut ride plate) or sell it whole and buy used. i have 3800$ into my running riding bob hull and i love it. my q8 will have even less money into it.

Being that your sxi is all stock I would probably go a different route. keep the sxi as a complete and use it to fund your build. The market for parting out a kawi isn't that great. I sold my bare sxi hull and hood for $150 haha granted it wasn't perfect either. I really like my 750 in my q8 but it had all the goodies on it when I purchased the a/m hull. I would have to agree with wizard-look for a Yami couch to be a donor for parts. There is a lot more options for a yami based build and a lot more parts available. As for parts you would need for a kawi setup I had to get a handle pole, battery box, 2.5" exhaust tube, water box and couplers, make e-box brackets, fuel cell-which was a pain in the ass to figure out fuel fill with my pipe setup, some other little things and a lot of time and patience. I was able to use my 750 driveshaft on my ski. And if you get an eme you will need to find a set of midget hands -see photoIMG_0040.JPG
