budget hulls. Around $3000

Well i am 100% determined to stop dirt biking, I enjoy jet skiing 100% more, so Im going to sell my bike. If I can get what I want out of it I will have about $3000 to spend on a hull. Strictly a flat water ski, I may go to the ocean once a year but thats it. Im thinking about a highroller complete stunt hull, but im open to everything, Im just trying to get some options.

Check out the new hull from The Ski Clinic (BOB) IMO (from what we have seen so far) it looks much better in quality and design and is comparably priced.

do you have all the other parts too? It's unbelievable what all the other stuff besides the motor and hull adds up to. You could easily have another 2k in hoses, bolts, pump, water box, cables, etc by the time your done. If you have all that stuff, then just wait until you have the money from your dirt bike and see what is out there and and how it's holding up. Some of the budget stuff out there is probably decent and some of it will require a miracle to last for more than a season.

The BOB hull looks really nice and the quoted delivery time is really quick. The stunt hull kit is about half the price and includes all the hardware. Is it perfect when you get it? No. Will it require paint? Yes. Will it require more work? Yes.

I think the biggest question is... Would you rather save time and get a prebuilt hull or would you rather build it yourself and put the extra $1500-$2000 towards engine parts or something else you've been dreaming about?

One last option if you're interested in more of a stock length boat. Watercraft Factory was offering a lightweight hull kit around Christmas for around $1800 without hardware.

Your better off buying a complete SJ that has all the mods. You can get somthing very nice for $4k. Then later down the road get the aftermarket hull and transfer everything into it. This way you will have all the hardware and the swap will be easy. Biggest thing with building your ski from scratch is buying all the individual parts seperate and paying shipping. You will easily spend more than you imagined.

Brock isn't starting from scratch. He has the majority if not all of the components needed to complete a ski already. My guess is he's abandoning the SN build he had been working on and is going for an aftermarket hull.

you are correct. I have everything ready to bolt on. Just looking for hull options. This is going to be SOON. Im hoping to get on the water by summer. I might have a couple deals lined up once I sell my bike.

And no I dont want something stock length. I will not be carving or riding for long distanced. Im not really concerned about cosmetic issues and paint. I would like to do that stuff myself anyways. But as for a two halves of a ski. I do not have the skill to put it back together, unless it was litterally gluing it back together.

Check out our new hull. I know it's a little more then your budget, but it handles real nice! We also have video proof of the hull's capability in doing flat water flips with a limited 701. A foot shorter then a super jet, but it's also an inch wider than a SXR, so it can be thrown around easily, and is very stable for riding around.

The stunt hull is cheaper then our hull, but you have to put work in getting it together and painting it. Our hull is ready for you to drop in a motor, pump and pole. It comes gel coated with any basic color you want (black, white, blue, etc.) and it comes with graphics. It's ultimately your choice. The pros and cons of the 2 are some-what comparable, but I would like you to at least take a look at our hull.

decide on anything yet?

if my bike ever sells then ill be going with a BOB hull. i really like what ive heard, price is resonable for the quality of the hull, looks nice, comes ready to rip unless you want to paint it.
but my bike... just waiting for someone to bite, not the greatest time to sell a bike, but we just sold our supra in literally one day for pretty much what we bought it for, guy calls, comes and bought it right there. so there is hope.

Supra's are a bit of a specialized market and tons of people want them. The BOB hull looks really nice though. Good luck with the bike sale though.
