In my defense, I did land ON the ski, so technically I didn't totally let go :cool2: At the moment of impact I was gripping the ski tightly with the front of my helmet, my left armpit, and several ribs down my right side :Banane01:
hah, you described exactly what happened to me a few weeks ago throwin away a stab. heres a pic from right after before the inside of my arm turned black and blue.

...and buggered up a rotator cuff. Now I'm in an arm sling waiting on a physiotherapy appointment  They don't think it needs surgery which is great, but I won't be riding for a bit :banghead:

I feel for ya Adrian... I came up short... well totally f***** up my first flatwater roll attempt of the season 2 weeks ago... my right shoulder partially popped out of the socket... ouch!

And fwiw, I didnt let go or bail... but probably should have... grrrr! Not sure what happened but I got yanked away from the ski when I came about 3/4 around... but held on anyway... :banghead: POP!

No sling or surgery needed for me, but I am still very weak and my range of motion is limited :frown:.

Best of luck.... heal up fast!

And you didn't get ahold of me?!? :frown:

I nearly did actually - we'd planned on leaving Thursday or so and maybe riding in the Panama City area. By Thursday evening I was on painkillers and we were so on Island-time that we were virtually catatonic!! We had a great vacation doing almost nothing whatsoever. At least the dog was active - this is him going nuts at the waves....
