I just bought a 94 blaster hull for $100. This thing is has been gutted. Shell only!!! No motor, pump, mid shaft, gas tank, cables or seat. Does have the pump shoe, though! Ohh and the sweet stock bars! lol. I see a blank canvas but I'm new to the blaster game. I have seen some really cool stuff being done in other posts. So i figured i would turn this build loose to the "pros"! HELP ME & OTHERS LIKE ME BUILD "A PERFECT BLASTER" without a second mortgage of course!!!

What would you do? What wouldn't you do? What products would you use?

With the hull missing so much I scared it will nickle and dime me. I see a donor ski in my future. What are my best options?

I'm was thinking a 1100 wave raider. :Banane09: Freshen up the motor, mill the head and mod the carbs or replace with 44s?!?!
What else can i use, what cant i use?

ALSO i want to rock the hull too. What do i need to know?

Fuel tank?!?! Anyone ever thought about relocating a fuel tank to under the battery? Whats your thoughts?

TOOO many ideas!! I figure i better have a complete plan before I pick up a wrench!! I cant wait to hear what ideas you all have!

It all comes down to what you want to do with it.
The perfect blaster IMO is a kawi 1100 swap. They rip your arms off and it wont break the bank. You can go find a zxi 1100 for $500-$1000 and then just buy this kit. www.1100blaster.com

You got any pics of these kits? Price?

A 1100 is a MUST! But why Kawi instead of the yami?

We sell both swap kits and the Kawi is just easy cheap power. All the Sxr racers go Kawi for a reason.
Pipe is nice and fits better
motors are cheap to find
Tons of info out there on the Kawi motors

Yeah i see that i have been doing more research today. Where are you guys out of? Something made me think here in michigan. Problem is my hull is Bare. So either i have to buy all the parts needed or just buy a donor ski. Could i use a lot of the stock components out of the zxi1100?

We are out of ct.

Its td easy to find parts on these boards. Just make I lost of what you need.

For or the swap out of the zxi you use the motor, Elc and that's about it. yiu get a water box in the swap kit. You just need a yami pump, shaft and dupe tank.

What are you building, a buoy blaster or surf? I think thats the most basic question you need to ask yourself before you get too deep.

Well I'm thinking a little of both. I live in the dry-est county in Michigan. It's a couple hour drive to ride surf. I mostly am gonna ride flat water. I really like the 701 stuff, you guys are killing it! But the bells and whistles are last! I like the yamaha gp 1200 or xl for the swap. From a reliability stand point and the E-box is plug & play. Also mounts where the OEM blaster's did not on the front of the motor. The ski is missing motor mounts so i think Exteeme's conversion route I'm going to go. Along with their under seat water box. From what i hear the gp750 mid shaft will shift the motor back and the ski is missing that assembly too. But I'm not sure what I'm going to due for a pump. Any thoughts?!? I'm thinking of an aluminium tank too. thoughts?
