Custom/Hybrid Building A/M hull question!

Im starting from scratch here. Interested in a aquabot. Should I buy a used superjet to have most of the parts available to swap over or should I try to part everything together from scratch? What is the most cost effective solution?
Edit: I will not be doing the labor aside from possibly stripping down a Sj for parts

I would buy a whole SJ and swap over, it willl be cheaper but you may end up with some bad parts in the process. If you buy individually you can upgrade, that is why most prefer to do that. It cost more but you end up with "better" components

Yeah I just want a smooth transition with majority of the parts readily available. Would seem very time consuming to track down every part. I have a friend who may sell his stock sj for a reasonable price.

In my opinion, I'd rather build a hull using new or close to new condition parts, than building it from say a 97 superjet that May have parts needing rebuild(mid shaft, motor, etc), replace(motor mounts), or incompatible (stock pole, etc). Unless you get a deal on everything, the value is only the condition of the parts/whole. Vendors on this site carry just about every single piece and if you budget correctly doing it like this isn't more work than it's worth. Good luck with your build

The ski Id be getting is in great running order. It had the mid shaft rebuilt, fresh carbs, unmodded motor, etc. the only mods it has are footholds, rrp steering, and some miscellaneous blowsion stuff. Its a hassle chasing each part, and finding the right deal and quality used parts. So I think this a no brainer. Plus I'll be able to sell a clean hull :)
