If what you are looking for is a underpowered motor in a $hitty handling hull then by all means continue.

realy??? well my bubble is getting bursted! so u realy think that a 89 650 is a lousy handling hull? ive never ridden anything besides the old school skis like js440,550 i just asumed that the newer hull had some what of a better hull desighn,,,,any words?

The only way I have gotten the 650 to handle decently is to remove the pole and make it a fixed steering craft, then it handles decent, not great but decent..

fixed stearing? please explain,,,,i have played with my 550 nozzle to make a huge discovery,,what i did is installed a second nozzle mounted on the origanal one but made it go up and down so it pushed the crafts front end into the water or made it completly come out of water,,,,,made a mounting bracket for a cable with another finger throttle on left side,,,the preformance was amazing.,,,

Sell everything and buy a superjet.

550 hulls are light and handle ok, but are narrow. 650s are wider but will all of a sudden break out of a turn and go skidding accross the water. The handle pole pivot is to far back to have leverage for tricks. etc.

You would be the first one to do it. You would Build a g@y ski. it is the worst of both worlds, slow motor and fat pig hull. You would have more time in the bed plate than the whole ski is worth!!
