I need another ski to build... Problem I have now is lack of steering in the water. Any ideas? Goal is to be able to drive it to the water and have it run/float under its own power.
I thought about screwing some paddles onto the wheels but that would make for a bumpy/rough ride to the water.Next. True paddle wheels on top of the tires. Suggest modifying ATV snow chains with grousers...
Exactly! was thinking about something that drops down in the back and then attaching it to steering somehow? Or would a rudder in the front work? @Vumad you have any ideas? You need some kind of rudder
I am too old to join anymore social media. myspace, facebook and youtube is already 3 too many.Post it on Rumble.com and I will definitely subscribe!
Nah, what you do is take something that can sleeve more of those pieces of wood you have on the rear wheels, slot the sleeve about 1/3 the overall length with about an inch or so above the bottom edge, slot the inside wood piece the same, put a retaining bolt through both at the bottom of the slot so the wood can't fall out but can push back up in the sleeve while driving on the pavement. Constantly fluid rudders, they slide into the sleeves when the wheel rolls them down to the ground, they weigh enough that when they get to water the wheels rotate down, the rudders slip out of the sleeves, steering wheel action takes overExactly! was thinking about something that drops down in the back and then attaching it to steering somehow?
