Your opinion is way off base and should not be taken seriously. If it were true, you would see people would be lining up for lites class on square noses

Saying "100% false" without explaining why is a baseless opinion. What does a square nose have to do with anything?

confused. you are willing to pay more for a paint scheme, and want a 2012+ because of reliability and maintenance concerns, yet your willing to overlook the obvious neglect and abuse the ski you posted has seen?

Age has no bearing whatsoever on the condition of these skis. There are clapped to shiat 2018s already, and cream puff 90s. All in the owners and how they were taken care of.

Buy a 96-08 for 3-4k with every single mod possible done to it, and throw 2k at q nice custom paint job.

Or buy a stock 08+ for around 4-5k and spend the othet 1500 you speak of on a used pipe and head yourself.

Make no mistake, opinions can be wrong.
If I were to say, "In my opinion, Blake Bortles is just as good a quarterback as Tom Brady." My opinion would be 100% false. Not because I don't believe it, but because it has been proven through competition that Blake Bortles is not as good a quarterback as Tom Brady.

Your statement, "IMO if you take a pre 08 and a post 08, add tubbies to both, they handle almost identical." has been proven through competition to be an incorrect assessment.

What the squarenose has to do with this, is that the SN and the 96-07 RN share a nearly identical bottom deck and handle very similarly.
If your statement were true, why would racers overwhelming choose to go with the 08+ style hull vs a 96-07 or even a SN hull that can be had for a 1/4 the price?

Bolt on any hull extension, tray extender, pump stuffer, rideplate, lead weight, front, rear, or mid sponson you want. The 96-07 will not handle like an 08+.

the 08+ is wide in the front and sweeps narrow in the rear with a smooth transition up to the bondline.

the 1990-2007 is a rectangular block with some chines thrown on it... Great for play riding, but cannot match the high speed turning abilities of the 08+
