Ok good news! I'm 90% sure i'm getting a complete Factory Pipe setup for my FX1.
But its used...

So, heres my questions:
What do I need?

Obviously i'll need new jets, does anyone know what sizes they provide or suggest?
Is there a special manifold gasket I need or is it just a generic gasket?

Anything else?

I'm super stoaked about this... :Banane09: i've been wanting one of these since I got my ski.

You can also hack the stock CDI to increase the rev limiter, but it's been a long time since I've seen a thread on that. Perhaps someone else can point you to a good thread.

Keefer mods stock cdi's. PM him, he does it right. I'm sure others do on here as well. A cheap alternative to A/M CDI

What chamber do you have, or are you getting?

Save yo $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

What do you mean by this?
Don't spend on a A/M box or don't spend on having one modded?

From the reading I've done the ATR EPIC box looks nice and reliable, but a little pricey.

Anyone have any info on the jets and where to get gaskets?

Should I just estimate what jets I'll need per my mods or go with a suggested setup from the mfg.

AM ignition can make a big difference, but your original question was about what else you needed to do in conjunction with yoir B-Pipe. It's a good idea to raise the rev limit, which all AM ignitions systems will do. However, if you wanted to sane some money, and all you are looking to do right now is to raise the limit, then you can modify the stock CDI. If you can afford AM ignition then go for it.

Gaskets.

61x exhast Manifold Gasket - QTY 1
Manifold to headpipe gasket - QTY 1 (This is the same as a stock Kawasaki 650 manifold to headpipe gasket)
3/8" id Waterline to plumb up your water lines.
3/8" thru hull fitting for the bypass line off the pipe.

Possible new silicone coupler for the expansion chamber to headpipe connections with Large Hose Clamps.

That 122mm pump is pretty hard to hook up w/o a Factory Pipe. Can't imagine it getting any better with a factory pipe. I'd suggest forgetting about increasing the revs, and focus on fixing the pump first. Kawi 140 or Superjet 144. Lots of threads debating which is best, etc. Otherwise you most likely just be blowing more holes in the water, all be it faster, with your new factory pipe.

I messed around quite a bit with the 122 (multiple intake grades, ride plates, impellers) before stepping up to a 144. Then I added the factory pipe. From all my research the Factory Pipe coupled with a larger pump are the two best mods for an FX1. Huge difference . . . but again I would suggest pump first, then pipe.

Enjoy the journey.
